Community projects and Consultancy Services

Running Deer C.I.C has developed and delivered many of its own community projects over the years, including setting the up of our Community Interest Company in April 2011.

Running Deer C.I.C set up Running Deer Independent School for Children with Special Educational Needs (registration number: 878/6067) in 2016. From a pretty depressing first Ofsted report in 2017 to a 'Good Provider' status in 2019 the challenges of setting up a new school, in an isolated woodland, on the edge of Dartmoor, were gargantuan.

Running Deer C.I.C and Running Deer School made the Big Issue Top 100 Changemakers 2020, The Thinkers, Creators and Agitators changing the World in 2020.

Running Deer C.I.C were also regional winners of the Rural Business Awards 2020 in Best Rural Social Enterprise, Charity or Community Project category and The Triumph Over Adversity Award.
